One official told SNEWS TV that President Trump increasingly believes the prospects for a diplomatic resolution with Iran are becoming increasingly remote unless there is an unexpected breakthrough. The source said discussions are now focused less on whether additional action will occur and more on the scale and timing of any potential escalation.
However, another official cautioned that President Trump has changed course unexpectedly in the past, suggesting that no final decision has been announced and the situation remains fluid.
Israeli officials say their current assessment is that Iran is unlikely to launch attacks against Israel as long as the United States does not significantly expand its military campaign against Tehran. Nevertheless, Israeli security officials continue to closely monitor developments across the region.
