We begin with the fast-developing and escalating crisis in the Middle East. Israel is bracing for what it now calls a “long-term conflict” with Iran, as the exchange of strikes intensifies and fears of a wider regional war grow by the hour.
ISRAEL-IRAN SHOWDOWN DEEPENS
The Israeli military has confirmed new strikes on key targets deep within Iranian territory, including a second direct hit on the Isfahan nuclear complex—an area closely monitored by the International Atomic Energy Agency. Israeli forces also report attacks on military infrastructure in southwestern Iran.
Iran, in turn, has launched a fresh wave of retaliatory drone strikes toward Israeli territory. According to Israeli defense officials, several drones were intercepted, but at least one managed to breach Israeli airspace. Fires have also been reported, caused by falling debris from intercepted projectiles.
U.S. RESPONSE UNCERTAIN AS B-2 BOMBERS REDEPLOYED
Meanwhile, in Washington, President Donald Trump is weighing his next move. Today, he convened an emergency meeting of the National Security Council to discuss whether the United States will join Israel’s strikes on Iranian nuclear infrastructure.
The president further stirred speculation with a cryptic post on his Truth Social platform, sharing a Fox News segment questioning potential U.S. military involvement. Above the clip, he wrote: “Only time will tell!”
That statement comes as the U.S. Air Force has quietly redeployed B-2 stealth bombers to the Pacific—aircraft known for their capability to carry “bunker buster” bombs, designed specifically to destroy fortified underground targets such as Iran’s nuclear sites.
SAUDI ARABIA CONDEMNS ISRAELI STRIKES
International backlash is also mounting. Speaking at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation summit in Istanbul, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan condemned what he called “blatant Israeli aggression” against Iran.
“These unprovoked strikes are a clear violation of international law and a threat to regional stability,” he said. The Kingdom is now calling for an immediate ceasefire and urging all parties to return to diplomatic negotiations.
GAZA VIOLENCE CONTINUES AMID IRAN STRIKES
While Israel continues its campaign against Iranian targets, it has also intensified operations in the Gaza Strip. Medical officials report 41 Palestinians were killed today alone in Israeli airstrikes, adding to an already dire humanitarian crisis in the besieged enclave.
ACTIVIST MAHMOUD KHALIL RELEASED, VOWS TO CONTINUE PRO-PALESTINE ADVOCACY
In related news, pro-Palestinian activist and U.S. student Mahmoud Khalil has been released after three months of detention. The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) confirmed Khalil’s release and stated that he intends to expand his advocacy for Palestinian rights.
CAIR’s Executive Director Nihad Awad told SNEWS TV: “Mahmoud is free—and he will continue to fight. His mission has only grown.”
Awad described Khalil as part of a new student-led civil rights awakening, comparing it to movements of the 1960s and 70s. While Khalil remains at risk of deportation, legal proceedings are ongoing. His case has drawn national attention as a flashpoint in the broader debate over free speech and government overreach during the Trump administration.
A volatile standoff between Israel and Iran, U.S. military deliberations, rising regional anger, and a growing movement for Palestinian justice it’s a moment of reckoning, and the world is watching.
We will continue tracking these breaking developments.
