In Rutshuru territory, North Kivu, Bambo is experiencing new violent clashes have broken out between fighters from the M23/AFC armed group, the Congolese armed forces, and their respective allies, forcing thousands of people to flee their villages since mid-May. The hospital we support is facing an influx of injured civilians, while medical teams, despite the insecurity and saturation of hospital capacity, are also treating severe malnutrition and a persistent measles epidemic.
